Why men are turning to Tarot for well-being with The Quirky Therapist

In my practice, I am seeing an increasing number of men seeking support through tarot card readings, this reflects a broader shift in how men are engaging with their mental and emotional wellbeing.

Many men carry significant expectations and responsibilities in their personal and professional lives, which can make it difficult to slow down, reflect, or speak openly about how they are feeling.

For some men, traditional talking therapies can feel daunting or overly clinical.

My Tarot card readings offers an alternative, reflective framework that supports conversation without pressure. I use the cards as a therapeutic prompt rather than a predictive tool, helping clients explore thoughts, patterns, and emotional responses in a structured yet accessible way. This approach can be particularly helpful for men who find it challenging to communicate their feelings directly.

I use knowledge, experience, intuition and the tarot cards to offer up stories that can prompt new ways of thinking and approaching the future with more clarity and confidence.

My work is grounded in a non-judgemental, welcoming, and professional approach. Sessions are led by the client’s needs and experiences, with an emphasis on listening, reflection, and emotional clarity. My male clients often report feeling at ease knowing they do not need prior experience with tarot or a particular belief system to benefit from a reading.

The environment is also a key part of the therapeutic experience. I believe men need to feel as safe as anyone else but we all know how difficult that is for them to find in this modern world full of expectations.

My cosy wooden cabin is intentionally designed to provide a private, calm, and safe space. Away from everyday demands, it offers an opportunity to pause, feel grounded, and be heard without any expectations whatsoever. For many men being able to finally find a sense of safety allows them to step back from constant responsibility and engage more openly with their own personal inner experience.

Tarot card readings help to experience personal insight, transformation and change.

As conversations around men’s mental health continue to evolve, reflective practices such as tarot can provide a valuable and accessible form of support — offering space, understanding, and calm in an increasingly demanding world.
